Problem

You’d like to change the default method in which Opera handles torrents.

Solution

1. From the menu, select Tools then click Preferences…
2. Click onto the Advanced tab.
3. From the left pane select Downloads
4. If checked, uncheck Hide file types opened with Opera.
5. Within the quick find box type “torrent”
6. Double click the item below, labeled as application/x-bittorrent, torrent.
7. You should be viewing a window titled file type, from here you have an array of options to change the way Opera handles torrent files.
8. To apply changes click OK.
