About the client

Located in West St. Paul, Minnesota, River Heights Charter School is a tuition-free, grade 7-12 public school committed to project-based learning. Our students design their own curriculum in the form of projects, completing those skills that fulfill the entire scope of standards required for graduation.
Working with River Heights has been great. The director, Jane Davin, is open to ideas and is clear about her goals, which enabled me to do a lot of creative, neat things.
What I do for River Heights
The staff at River Heights know me as the tech guy. I’m often assisting in whichever technological task I can. My work at River Heights has ranged from maintaining the computer lab (which I helped to set-up), to developing River Heights’ website. Common tasks I preform for River Heights include:
- Updating and managing the website.
- Ensuring network security.
- Hardware installation and management.
- Troubleshooting problems with the staff.
Favorite Projects
I’ve done some pretty neat things with River Heights, some of my favorite projects were:
- Creating a secure intranet.
- Setting up and securing a webserver.
- Setting up a computer lab, making sure all the computers shared the same configuration in an timely manner.
